My approach to instructional design and leadership is simple: empower people, elevate quality, and eliminate friction. I believe the best learning solutions come from teams that feel supported, challenged, and trusted—so I build environments where designers can do their best work and grow while doing it.
I lead with a blend of clarity and creativity:
Clarity in expectations, workflows, and standards that keep teams aligned and productive.
Creativity in the way we design, collaborate, leverage, and adapt to AI, emerging technologies, and industry needs.
I’m hands-on when it matters, strategic when it counts, and always looking for ways to make content more intuitive, efficient, and impactful. Whether I’m refining a storyboard, coaching a designer, or introducing a new process, my goal is always the same: create learning that drives results and strengthens people.
My career started in the classroom, where I learned the foundation of everything I do today: how to simplify complex ideas, engage diverse learners, and design experiences that actually stick. Sixteen years of teaching chemistry and physics taught me how people think, how they struggle, and how they grow—and that insight now fuels my approach to corporate learning.
Transitioning into instructional design allowed me to bring that same energy to a broader audience. I developed clear, learner-centered content and quickly became the go-to person for transforming dense information into accessible, effective training.
Stepping into management wasn’t a departure—it was the next step. I discovered I had a natural instinct for spotting talent, building culture, and leading teams to outperform expectations. Under my leadership, production and quality metrics reached levels never seen before in my department.
Today, I’m a learning leader who blends instructional design expertise with people development, guiding global teams to create training that moves the needle for businesses and the people who power them.
Creativity, family, faith, and music shape my world beyond instructional design.
Music has always been a core part of my life. I grew up playing flute and singing in all-county, regional, and all-state choirs and bands across northern New Jersey. I also played snare drum in a Scottish pipe band that won First Place Drum Corps in the Eastern United States in 2006. Today, I unwind by singing and teaching myself 90s alternative and worship songs on guitar.
I’m also a lifelong American Girl doll collector, a hobby I now happily share with my daughter.
Faith and community are central to who I am. I lead a women’s life group at church and help provide a specialized service for teens and adults with special needs.
I’ve been married to my husband for nearly 15 years. We’re true partners—raising two incredible kids, building big dreams together, and always searching for the next great adventure. We love finding local favorites when we travel—small cafés, hidden coastal towns, quirky shops, and restaurants the locals swear by. And personally, nothing restores me like being at the beach—sun, waves, salty air, and sand are my reset button.
We live just outside Nashville with our energetic rescue dog, Juno—a half–Mountain Cur, half–Plott Hound who joined our family in 2020 and brings nonstop joy (and chaos).
Our son is a 5th-grade student council treasurer, passionate Yankees historian, black belt in TaeKwonDo, and standout second baseman.
Our daughter is a 3rd-grade all-star gymnast, artist, storyteller, and former regionally-placing Scottish Highland dancer who shares my American Girl obsession.
Family, music, travel, faith, and the beach keep me grounded and inspired—and that energy fuels the creativity and leadership I bring to my work.
